Foreign policy has been developed to determine how America conducts sorts of relationships with other countries. It can be a complex situation. It seeks to assure America’s security and defense.
At first, America was not big into foreign policy, as we wanted to stay out of others business. Through the 19th century, we avoided foreign entanglement. After World War 1 the United States began to entangle with European affairs. As World War 2 came along, this was the most powerful influence on foreign affairs for Americans.
Today, foreign policy helps us with a wide range of services, such as: establishing and maintaining diplomatic relations, peace keeping, international security, and economic issues such as travel.
