New pain dr

Since mine seemed to disappear from existence, I was referred to another for the injections and therapy. We start the pain block in 2 weeks on the left side, and right side in two more weeks. If this works there is a simple solution to ending the pain. I’m welcoming relief!

Melody, on the other hand was looking forward to lunch! LOL! 😋

Spine condition update

Physical therapy is designed to lessen the pain I have in my spine. Despite exercising diligently at home, the pain has become worse! I have one more week of physical therapy, and then onto the next step!

I still have complete a CT scan and pain blocks before they determine if surgery is needed. Praying the pain blocks work to avoid surgery. I do not like the idea of being torn open. We shall see, and I will keep everyone updated!

Just a picture for reference. My pain is in the lumbar region, where the two disks are out of place, and joints inflamed.

Physical Therapy gear at home

I’m in physical therapy for my back (I have very painful arthritis in my Lumbar Spine, more on that later!). It requires some gear at home, and pretty inexpensive. It’s become tolling on my back, as my back hurts after I work out, but it is supposed to help. I’m working out daily, low impact, praying for relief!

Enough on that, here is the gear i use daily.

The huge and smaller ball is for balance. Melody practices with me on the smaller ball. It’s always a laughing experience. Resistance bands for some impact on my leg and ab muscles while i exercise (hard to explain). This master because I want to tone my arms and legs. Lacrosse balls for joint pain in my glut (this is a large set of  muscles, extending into your abs I’ve learned). And a small child’s ball for some resistance while ab training.

Just some fun stuff I thought I’d share. Ill have to catch a video of Melody on the ball, its hilarious! Love y’all!

Database fun!

So, I’m at the tail end of my MySQL class and I’m making my own database! I’m loving scripting, so next semester should be really fun as I will be studying programming in detail!! I’m enrolled in four classes next semester, so I’m going to be one busy mama! I can’t wait for the break though. The 9th is the last day, yippee!

Anyhow, for those of you that haven’t seen SQL in action, here’s a quick screenie.

Love you all!

90 Days Cigarette Free!

Yes, that’s right. 90 days, 3 months, however you prefer. I’ve made it this far, no point going back. I’ve even lowered my nicotine content by a little in the last month! Which was an accident, but that’s another story all together. So here I am! I can breathe better, despite the persistent asthma, and I can SMELL like nobody else. It’s great! It’s a party!

Stalking the teachers

Well here I go, another day stalking the webpage for my grades. Bah! The only thing that stinks worse than not knowing is knowing that 2 of my classes didn’t count! The Math prep, and the Web Design (which will only add to my GPA because I took it before).  And come to find out, the Composition 1 class I took in the Summer was a repeat as well. The A is great for my GPA though…

I signed up for the “mini-mester” for Music Appreciation. Its an intense 4-week course over the holidays. I can’t see it being that intense though. Its Music guys!

And Here we go with my classes for the fall…  I might add one more govt if I feel daring enough, but I highly doubt it!
